More About Alric Farmer

On the 04 January 2019 a became I father to a beautiful little girl. 

 

It’s been an indescribable experience, changing my life. Nothing compares to this moment.  Except the moment I saw my gorgeous wife walking down the aisle on our wedding day. 

​

These are the moments that truly made me feel alive.  But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, maybe you’d like to know a little bit more about the man behind the lens.

​

My wife and I have taken on two dogs (our other children if we’re being honest) that keep us just as entertained as our wonderful little girl.  I have a post-grad degree in Environmental Science.  I often pretend to have green fingers, but honestly, it’s more like gangrene fingers.  I live for coffee and chocolate, my secret sin, and rest assured this is what I will be having while editing.  I love watching and coming up with DIY ideas and home décor show.  Don’t ask if I can building anything just yet!  Neither of us will be happy with the answer.

Photography for me, goes beyond party selfies and the occasional social media picture that’s clearly been photoshopped.

 

It's about capturing the moment, and treasuring it for a lifetime.  If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place.  I am passionate about my craft and even after photographing, so many special moments in people's lives I believe that i am at the beginning of so many beautiful stories to unfold. 

 

Starting as a videographer assistant in 1998, I’ve learnt from the best in the field, and this has inspired me to step out on my own and start Alric Farmer Photography in 2010, a company specialising in Wedding Photography and your family memories.  I’m certainly not limited to Cape Town having serviced other cities such as Pretoria, Beaufort West, Kimberley and Ysterfontein to name a few.
